Kathie Kelleher is descended from a long line of talented and interesting characters, from bell-helmeted deep sea divers to Cape Breton bagpipers. As a young child, Kathie enjoyed hearing the family tales. Some tall, some small. All entertaining.

Thus the seeds of her imagination were sown. Kathie was given plenty of paper, pencils and encouragement. Many drawings later, she found herself studying at the Paier College of Art in New Haven, CT. Kathie had the good fortune to learn from some of the top artists in their fields. Dean Keller, Ken Davies and John Massimino to name a few. The training at Paier College of Art established a strong foundation upon which Kathie has built her illustration career.

She has worked as a graphic designer, technical illustrator and best of all, a children’s book illustrator–her childhood dream.

Represented by Publisher’s Graphics for two decades, Kathie is now represented by Portfolio Solutions of Clinton Corners, NY.

Specializing in children’s educational illustration, Kathie is now transitioning into the world of children’s picture books, as both author and illustrator. So far, so good!

Kathie lives on Boston’s historic North Shore with her husband, Ron, whom she met in art school. They have two lovely daughters and a precious grandson.
